Rick Brown RealtorRick Brown has been a full-time, professional REALTOR since 1978 and a real estate broker since 1979. He specializes in the sale and marketing of homes in Vernon Hills, Mundelein, Libertyville, Gurnee, Grayslake, Buffalo Grove, Green Oaks,  Lindenhurst, Lake Villa, the Round Lake area, Lake County, Il, Northern Cook County and McHenry County.

Rick has all-encompassing real estate experience including over 15 years of Residential and over 5 years of Commercial. He also spent 10+ years working for a builder/developer doing new construction, as well as property management of condominiums, apartments, shopping centers and office buildings.

Personal Information

Rick Brown Coldwell Banker agent LibertyvilleA native of Illinois, Rick has lived in the state for most of his life. He attended the University of Illinois and Northwestern University where he studied accounting and business. He continues his education taking college courses, courses through The Home Builders Association and Real Estate Courses.

Beginning in High School Rick worked for 12 years in the grocery business advancing to a managerial position both in Illinois and Hawaii. Working in management within this very competitive and customer-service oriented field led to being hired by a North Suburban builder to manage their diverse portfolio of properties in the Chicago-land area. Rick's communication skills have helped make him a top Realtor with a personal touch.

Rick is a devoted father of 2 boys in their 20's. He is very involved with his children's education and activities and enjoyed volunteering at the local schools, chaperoning field trips and coaching basketball for the park district. In his spare time Rick enjoys the theater, snow skiing, photography and movies.

The child who is not cleaning his room, but
Is watching TV, because that means he is at
home and not on the streets.

For the taxes that I pay,
because it means that I am employed.

For the mess to clean after a party,
because it means that I have been
surrounded by friends.

For the clothes that fit a little too snug,
because it means I have enough to eat.

For my shadow that watches me work,
because it means I am in the sunshine.

For a lawn that needs mowing,
windows that need cleaning,
and gutters that need fixing,
because it means I have a home.

For the parking spot I find at the far
end of the parking lot, because It means
I am capable of walking and that I have
been blessed with transportation.

For my huge heating/cooling bill,
because it means I am warm/refreshed.

For the lady behind me in church that
sings off key, because it means that
